Stainless Steel Type 304 by Steel Art is a versatile, durable alloy suitable for both interior and exterior applications. It comes in a variety of finishes, with satin, mirror polish, and non-directional being the most common. For environments with high salt concentration, industrial pollutants, or acid rain, Type 316 stainless steel is recommended to prevent corrosion and pitting. Durable outdoor protective coatings are also available and advised.

While stainless steel is often thought to be unstainable, visible staining may occur in exterior settings due to elements like rain, dirt, and diesel fumes. For exterior applications, solid cut dimensional letters and logos are passivated by default. Contact your Project Manager to discuss optional treatments.
